Ice Cream Cabinets

Ice cream cabinets are often found in ice cream parlors, supermarkets, and gas stations. They provide special challenges to compressors because of the warm ambient temperatures and constant access to frozen products; the compressors have to be able to compensate temperature fluctuations due to constant opening and closing of the cabinets. In addition, the compressors have to provide temperatures between -35°C (-31°F) and -25°C (-13°F) during low back-pressure (LBP) conditions.
