Control Engineer (m, f, d) Technology Department

We are seeking a Control Engineer to join our Technology Department starting on 1 January 2026, or earlier by agreement. Qualifications: M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with specialization in Control Engineering or Power Electronics.

Your Tasks

Develop and optimize control algorithms for electric motor systems with a strong focus on reliability efficiency, and NVH (Noise, Vibration, Harshness) behaviour.

  • Collaborate closely with experts in Thermodynamics, Acoustics, Structural Mechanics, Mechanism Design, and Motor Design to ensure holistic system development.
  • Contribute to the creation and refinement of multidisciplinary simulation models that accurately reflect real-world behaviour by integrating mechanical, thermal, electrical, and acoustic domains.
  • Support system-level trade-off analysis to meet product targets for efficiency, reliability, cost, and NVH.
  • Conduct analysis and testing to validate control strategies, including NVH performance, under a variety of operating conditions
  • Participate in the development of advanced motor control features such as sensorless control, field-oriented control (FOC), and diagnostic algorithms.
  • Assist in defining system requirements and support design reviews with cross-functional teams.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of simulation, testing, and validation processes with a focus on cross-domain accuracy and predictive capability
  • Design and development control algorithms for PMSM and BLDC motors with a focus on efficiency, reliability and performance
  • Control algorithms development and validation using model-based design such as Matlab, Simulink etc
  • Conduct system modelling and simulation within Field – Oriented Control (FOC), Direct Torque Control (DTC) and other sensor less control techniques
  • Fine tuning motor performance for torque, speed, vibration, efficiency across wide operation range, load variations and thermal conditions.
  • Continuous improvement – identify opportunities and characterization

Your Qualifications

  • Experience within control engineering drives for motors
  • Master’s degree in electronic, mechatronic, control engineering etc.  
  • Knowledge in control system design, including PID controllers and digital control methods.
  • Broad knowledge in various motor technologies
  • Familiarity with control software development Practical knowledge in Embedded Software
  • Hands on experience in setting up experimental test for validation and proof of concepts

Working Hours and Classification

  • Variable working time 37 hours per week + willingness to travel abroad – up to 60 days per year
  • 75 – 80 k gross salary per year -  depending on work experience and qualification
