The BD compressor series (Battery Driven) is known for its low energy consumption, variable speed, and wide voltage ranges.
Secop DC compressors are used in a wide range of mobile applications: motorhomes and caravans (refrigerators up to 180 liters, freezers up to 90 liters), electric vehicles and passenger cars (in-car cooling), trucks and commercial vehicles (cab cooling, temperature-controlled transport), boats and marine vessels (marine cooling with tilt tolerance up to 30 degrees), portable coolers, solar-driven systems, telecom cooling, and medical transport refrigeration.
The BD Nano is Secop’s latest innovation for mobile cooling — the smallest and most powerful DC compressor in its class. It is 40% shorter and 67% lighter than previous models (BD35F/50F/35K/50K) while delivering the same cooling performance with unmatched efficiency. The BD Nano offers extremely low vibration and noise levels, enhanced connectivity, reduced EMI, and is ideal for electric vehicle refrigerators, RVs, and ultra-compact mobile cooling applications.
Secop DC compressors support various refrigerants: environmentally friendly low-GWP options such as R600a (isobutane), R1234yf (automotive-approved), and R290 (propane), as well as traditional refrigerants like R134a. The BD series with R600a and R1234yf meets strict environmental standards and enables HFC-free refrigeration solutions for sustainable mobile applications.
Secop BD compressors are ideal for fully solar-powered cooling in environments with no electric grid or batteries. Thanks to their exceptionally low starting current, no batteries are required — units are equipped with an ice bank that stores thermal energy for nighttime operation. The wide voltage range makes these compressors perfect for use with photovoltaic solar panels or fuel cells.
Secop’s variable-speed control technology automatically adjusts compressor output to the actual cooling demand. This significantly increases the system’s COP (Coefficient of Performance), reduces energy consumption, and protects vehicle, boat, or RV batteries.
