Secop's new solar direct drive (SDD) and weak grid power management system

Secop GmbH announces that its Solar Direct Drive (SDD) Power Management Module has been granted WHO PQS prequalification by the World Health Organization. The module is now officially listed in the WHO Catalogue of Prequalified Immunization Devices, making it eligible for procurement by UN agencies and international health organisations.
The WHO PQS (Performance, Quality, and Safety) programme provides a rigorous, evidence-based evaluation framework for immunisation devices used in national vaccination programmes worldwide. Prequalification confirms that a product meets the performance, quality and reliability standards required for real field conditions including remote and low-resource settings where the integrity of the vaccine cold chain is most at risk.

The system is built for vaccine cold chain applications in the most demanding environments. The module accepts AC input across a working range of 82 V to 274 V and requires no voltage stabiliser. For solar-powered applications, its MPPT algorithm continuously optimises compressor speed to the available solar energy. The module is protected against voltage surges up to 510 V and delivers up to 110 W of constant output power.
A 24 V DC auxiliary output supports data loggers, monitoring devices and USB chargers, with full compliance to WHO EMS monitoring standards E006/DL01 and E007/DS01.
Secop worked with Global Health Labs to define the requirements and develop the SDD Power Management Module. The solution is tailored to WHO PQS specifications and meets all demands for solar direct drive as well as wide-range and unstable power grids, enabling vaccine refrigerator manufacturers to satisfy the latest E007/VS01.6 voltage stabilisation requirements.
