New Products for All Applications with Energy Optimised Compressors – 06.04.2017 Secop Presents Innovative Compressor-Solutions at China Refrigeration 2017

Secop presents innovative compressor-solutions at China Refrigeration 2017
Leading compressor manufacturer shows new products for light commercial, DC-powered and household applications with energy optimised components.

Flensburg, April 5, 2017. Secop, a forerunner in highly developed compressor technology introduces its new products at the leading trade fair for refrigeration and cooling technology in South East Asia from April 12-14 in Shanghai. Among the highlights on booth E2-B09 are especially the variable speed drive compressors of the NLV- and SLVE-line, which reduce power consumption significantly with a new controller that works in a voltage range of 90 V – 250 V. Furthermore, the company from Germany presents its latest generation of compressors which work with hydrocarbons as refrigerants. Particularly Secop’s S-Series with its energy optimised and the variable speed drive SLVE-compressors. The current top model is fitted out with special energy optimised gas carrying components and Secop’s Cool Capacity Drive inverters (°CCD) and thereby consumes up to 40 percent less energy by adapting the cooling capacity to the actual demand. By that, the variable speed drive compressors are especially suitable for operation in a tough environment with unstable power supply.

During the China Refrigeration 2017, several workshops will take place on the fairgrounds. At the workshop ‘Innovation and Development of Light Commercial Refrigeration Equipment’ (Conference Room E1M15, 9.30-12.00, April 13th), Secop will present its solutions as well as a strategic product roadmap in compliance with the use of natural refrigerants and global development trends.

Secop will also present representative products of the DLE-, NLE-, SCE-, NLV-, and BD-platforms at the booth of the Ozone 2 Climate Technology Roadshow (E3G31). The roadshow is organised by UNEP, FECO and CRAA and aims towards the further development of environmentally friendly cooling technology.

Additionally, Secop will show specially tailored solutions for portable refrigerators, medical transportation storage and fresh food delivery at the Demonstration Pavilion for Cold Chain Solutions (E4D01).

Pioneer in hydrocarbons
Already in the 1990s, the company started to develop compressors which work with the hydrocarbons R290 (propane) and R600a (isobutane) as refrigerants. Since then the company constantly added new innovative energy optimised compressors to its product line, that are geared to work with both synthetic and natural refrigerants. With approximately 2.200 employees, Secop produces over 10 million compressors annually, which set the standard for energy efficiency, environmental sustainability, low noise level and variable speed drive.

Innovation Award for high-tech compressor
Since 2008 Secop produces compressors like the SCE-line in China, which contributes to a significant reduction in operating costs in the light commercial market segment with energy optimised components. Additionally, the company manufactures compressors of the BD- and P-series for light commercial and DC-powered applications in its latest factory approximately 70 km (43 mi) from Beijing. On March, 25 the organisation committee of China Refrigeration 2017 announced that Secop’s SCE21MNX wins this year’s Innovation Award. In the past five years, five types of Secop compressors won the award. Thereby Secop sets a record within refrigeration compressor industry.

About Secop
Secop GmbH came out of Danfoss Compressors in 2010, which was located in Flensburg, Northern Germany, in 1956. The company is a leading compressor manufacturer committed to developing and supporting technologies and products that promote energy efficiency. Secop is active in the sectors of household, light commercial and DC-powered refrigeration and has developed a range of compressors which are geared and approved to the use of hydrocarbons, R600a (isobutane) and R290 (propane). Secop belongs to the German AURELIUS Group of companies since 2010.
