Phase-down of Hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) – 20.05.2021 Green Cooling Summit 2021

Secop will present its latest propane range and variable-speed solutions on the Green Cooling Summit 2021. More info can be found on: www.green-cooling-initiative.org.

The German Environment Agency (UBA), Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU) will jointly host a fully virtual conference from May 25 – 27.
The 'Green Cooling Summit' addresses how the phase-down of hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) according to the Kigali Amendment of the Montreal Protocol can best be implemented and accelerated politically and technically through the use of natural refrigerants and improved energy efficiency.

About the Green Cooling Initiative
The Green Cooling Initiative promotes the use of natural refrigerants, the development of energy efficient technologies and fosters a sustainable approach to private and commercial energy consumption.
As a non-profit initiative, initiated by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety, the Green Cooling Initiative offers a one of a kind platform for companies, organizations, countries and individuals. The Green Cooling Initiative:

  •     promotes natural refrigerants,
  •     maximizes energy efficiency, and
  •     fosters a sustainable approach to private and commercial energy consumption

Green cooling helps to protect the environment, resources and the climate. The aim of the Green Cooling Initiative is to establish a global Green Cooling Network, which will accelerate the transfer of environmentally friendly technologies in the refrigeration and air conditioning sectors. Besides this, the Initiative aims to support renewable technologies to contribute towards a sustainable reduction of fossil fuel consumption.
With its propane and isobutane compressors Secop has developed an innovative product/technology for the green cooling sector. As a member Secop supports the Green Cooling Initiative in its efforts to promote natural refrigerants and protect the environment, resources and the climate.
