Secop exhibits at Chillventa 2026 in Nuremberg, 13 to 15 October, Hall 4, Booth 129. The booth is organized into five areas: Food Service, Food Retail, Special Applications, Medical Cold Chain and Mobile Cooling.
This update covers the Special Applications counter, the third stop of the booth tour. The compressors on show in this area are developed for two applications: Domestic Hot Water Heat Pumps and Enclosure Cooling.
Two forces are reshaping the domestic hot water heat pump segment. Electrification is moving domestic heating onto heat pumps, and the revised EU F-Gas Regulation sets a hard limit on their refrigerant: from January 2027, self-contained heat pumps up to 12 kW can no longer use fluorinated refrigerants with a GWP of 150 or more, with a full phase-out by 2032. R290 (propane), with a GWP of 3, is the answer, and the products on show at Chillventa are optimized and engineered for it.
Secop's compressors for domestic hot water heat pumps are built for exactly this shift. On the counter the visitor can find the NLE10DNDX. It's designed for hot water heat pumps, delivering up to 1,944 W of heating capacity on R290 at a COP of 4.08 (ASHRAE HBP) with up to 25% higher efficiency than a comparable R134a compressor, and with less noise and vibration. It carries Secop's patented hermetic terminal plug for safe propane operation and withstands the extreme liquid returns a heat pump sees in real use. Another model showcased at the exhibition is the KLF6.6DND, extending the range in a more compact size, and bringing the same natural-refrigerant efficiency to smaller domestic hot water systems.
Enclosure Cooling addresses a different problem: cooling electronics and telecom cabinets. They have to stay cool in sealed, dusty, and often outdoor environments, where reliability outweighs everything else. Some of these applications call for a solution the natural-refrigerant portfolio does not cover today. For them, Secop offers a full range of products including the SC15GH, a compressor tailored for these applications and designed for the specific requirements of this market. It is an immediate answer, while natural refrigerants remain the long-term direction.
