Visit Us at the Chillventa 2026, Five Areas and a New Booth Design – 14.09.2026 Chillventa 2026 – Mobile Cooling Area

Secop exhibits at Chillventa 2026 in Nuremberg, 13 to 15 October, Hall 4, Booth 129. The booth is organized into five areas: Food Service, Food Retail, Special Applications, Medical Cold Chain and Mobile Cooling.

This series presents one area at a time. It opens with Mobile Cooling, continues with Medical Cold Chain, and covers the commercial refrigeration areas as the exhibition approaches. Each update lists the compressors and cooling solutions on display in that area, so visitors can plan their route through the booth before arriving in Nuremberg.

One for all: The BD Nano. From Electric Cars to Boats.

Mobile refrigeration comes with different demands depending on the application:

  • An electric vehicle's onboard refrigerator must be very small minimize power draw to preserve driving range and stay silent in operation.
  • A truck cabin unit runs on 12/24V systems and requires rugged durability on the road together with high efficiency.
  • A camper refrigerator has to cool down fast and hold temperature stable while limiting the drain on the auxiliary batteries, quietly and in tight spaces.
  • A boat refrigerator faces continuous wave motion and needs high reliability without giving up performance.

They all share a compact, high-efficiency DC compressor, now with dedicated electronic controllers tailored to the specific vehicle application.

Secop meets all these demands with its BD Nano platform, pairing a single high-efficiency core with application-specific electronics and low-GWP refrigerant options. All BD Nano solutions are tested to ISO 16750 and manufactured under IATF 16949.

  • BD Nano EV (Electric Vehicles): Integrates via an industry-standard LIN bus, with a configurable electronic thermostat and battery protection, supporting R1234yf and R134a refrigerants.
  • BD Nano Automotive (Trucks, Buses & ICE): Compatible with 12/24V systems and offers versatile refrigerant choices, including natural R600a (isobutane) as well as R134a and R1234yf (BDN45F-A and BDN50K-A models), easily configurable via Tool4Cool®.
  • BD Nano R600a (Recreational & Marine): Runs on natural isobutane (12/24V), specifically tuned for quiet, energy-efficient off-grid living in campers and boats.

Across the entire BD compressors' range, the BD Nano platform is the smallest, 40% shorter and 67% lighter than the previous models. This compact footprint allows OEMs to modernise existing cabinet designs without costly engineering overhauls, while delivering identical cooling performance.

Electric Cars focus: One Board, Multiple Functions

One more variant joins the platform: the BD Nano EV with One-Control ECU. It combines compressor drive and cabinet ECU functions on a single board for electric vehicles.

By managing both the compressor and advanced cabinet features, such as multi-temperature sensors, fan control, automated door opening, heating, and LED lighting, it removes the second control unit and reduces cost, footprint, and component complexity.

The full BD Nano platform is on display in Hall 4, Booth 129. Medical Cold Chain follows in the next update.
