Refrigeration is one of the largest energy consumers in a supermarket, and its load never sits still. Door openings, restocking, and changing ambient conditions swing the demand on every cabinet through the day. As in the rest of the refrigeration business, the EU F-Gas Regulation is pushing the segment toward natural refrigerants and tighter efficiency.
Secop offers solutions for Food Retail with a full variable-speed range on R290 (propane), matching compressor speed to the real cooling demand and cutting energy use by up to 40% against a fixed-speed model. Each compressor is paired with one of Secop's electronic control units, a range available in three versions:
For cabinets that manage their own case functions, NLV12.6CN pairs with the °CCD XT, the most fully featured controller in the range. It brings the case-control outputs, defrost, temperature sensors, and options such as IoT connectivity and multi-compressor operation that a connected supermarket cabinet needs. Where a case demands more power, SLVE18CN, Secop's most powerful variable-speed propane compressor, delivers more than 2 kW at a COP of up to 2.25 inside a fire-proof housing for demanding installations, paired with the Multipurpose controller.
Another highlight is the entry-level variable-speed system, now available for the European, American and Chinese markets. Secop presents the new NLVE15CN, an extension to the NL platform with optimized cooling capacity, efficiency and robustness, paired with the Core Functions controller.
The booth also features a preview of the NLV New Generation. This project pushes the efficiency of the NLV range further, giving OEMs higher performance at lower energy consumption in their appliances, providing a future-proof solution for market needs.
Across the range, variable speed holds a tighter temperature through every door opening, which protects the product on the shelf while lowering the energy it takes. Every model runs on R290, keeping OEMs ahead of the regulation reshaping the segment.
