Visit Us at the Chillventa 2026, Five Areas and a New Booth Design – 18.09.2026 Chillventa 2026 – Medical Cold Chain Area

Secop exhibits at Chillventa 2026 in Nuremberg, 13 to 15 October, Hall 4, Booth 129. The booth is organized into five areas: Food Service, Food Retail, Special Applications, Medical Cold Chain and Mobile Cooling.

This update covers the Medical Cold Chain counter.

A Key Role in the Medical Cold Chain

The medical cold chain stores and transports highly sensitive products: vials, vaccines, blood and plasma, biological samples. It is most exposed where the power supply is least reliable. In many regions immunization sites run on an unstable grid or no grid at all, and a single temperature excursion can spoil an entire batch. At the other extreme, mRNA vaccines and biological samples require ultra-low temperatures that standard refrigeration cannot reach. Secop's solutions cover various applications in the medical cold chain, from storage to transportation. At Chillventa 2026 Secop presents the new Solar Direct Drive system and the solutions specifically designed for ultra-low temperature systems.

The Solar Direct Drive (SDD) system is built around the SDD Power Management Module, which earned WHO PQS prequalification in March 2026. The system pairs the module with the MB3CKV compressor (a tailored variant of the BD Nano Series) to run vaccine refrigerators directly from solar power, off-grid or on a weak grid. It is built for the remote sites where the cold chain is most exposed. Secop has years of experience in SDD solutions, and this is the latest generation with premium features.

For ultra-low temperature (ULT) storage, Secop showcases a ULT Stationary Condensing Unit that uses two variable-speed MS18UVULTM compressors in a two-stage cascade of natural refrigerants to reach down to -86°C in volumes up to 1000 liters, with up to 40% lower energy use. For the last mile, a DC Mobile ULT cascade condensing unit is also available to guarantee ultra-low temperature in vaccine transport across remote areas.

The medical solutions rely on a tailored range of medical compressors. In the booth Secop will present the MN13UVULTM new series that works in biomedical freezers from -30°C to -60°C and, in cascade systems, down to -90°C. The new series is designed with enhanced mechanical robustness and UL, VDE and CCC approvals for ultra-low temperature natural refrigerants such as R1270 (propylene) and R170 (ethane), in addition to R290 (propane). The compressor is controlled by specific control units for medical applications. In the medical range there are different models for AC supply, with displacements from 11 to 18 cm³, and DC supply, to offer medical refrigerator manufacturers the possibility to design storage and transport solutions with natural refrigerants and maximum efficiency.

The full medical cold chain range is on display in Hall 4, Booth 129.
