Press Release – 02.06.2022 New Secop R&D Center in Spišská Nová Ves, Slovakia

On May 31, 2022, Secop officially announced the opening of a new R&D Center in Spišská Nová Ves, Slovakia. Secop decided to invest in a new R&D center to leverage the innovation and development capabilities thus strengthening those engineering skills available in the Gleisdorf, Flensburg, Zlaté Moravce, and Tianjin locations.

The decision to set up the new R&D center in the region of Spišská Nová Ves is strongly connected to Secop’s footprint in Slovakia and the core competences the region offers. The R&D Center will support product development and product engineering for commercial range compressors both engineered and assembled in the manufacturing plant in Zlaté Moravce. The R&D Center will operate in coordination with the R&D based in Gleisdorf.

After the R&D center in Gleisdorf in 2020 and the new headquarters in Flensburg in 2021, paired with a new facility for laboratories and application center, this is the latest investment by Secop with a goal to boost development and engineering capabilities to support product development and deep dive into innovative solutions, which is one of the core pillars of our strategic plan.

The new offices were commissioned with a warm welcome by the local authorities of Spišská and Secop management representatives Jan Ehlers (CEO) Fabricio Possamai (CTO), Johannes Maerz (COO), and Norbert Brath (Director of the Slovakia plant).
